In the midst of their busy Spring 2009 tour, Celtic Thunder recorded their new DVD and a separate CD at Casino Rama in Ontario, Canada. This great recording shot to the top of theWorld Music charts. All the songs illustrate the talent and originality of these five outstanding performers, brilliantly guided by the musical director, Phil Coulter.

The CD opens with a standout performance by Keith of The Homes of Donegal. Keith takes the song, which began as a country ballad and was made a folk anthem by Paul Brady, into the 21st century sound of Celtic Thunder. A special treat on the DVD is seeing how Damian has grown and has perfected not only the vocals of the 50’s rock favorites - Happy Birthday Sweet Sixteen and Breaking Up is Hard to Do, but also the stage antics of that era. The vocal power of the ensemble is demonstrated on their acapella version of Danny Boy. Fans will want both the DVD and the CD as each has material not available on the other.
